At Journey Foods, we know there’s a better way to approach the future of food. We’re an AI-powered platform that supports product management and data services to help thousands of food businesses save money and create better products efficiently. We’ve sold several thousand units of our inaugural data-driven product line, Journey Bites, with more than 1 million cubes manufactured, which supports our machine learning-based algorithms.

Healthy = the least amount of calories … at least that’s what most people think. But they’re wrong.

In reality, it’s a little more complicated than that.

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, nutrient-density is one of the most accurate predictors of healthy diets. Nutrient-density is a calculation based way of looking at food that takes into account the nutrient levels — such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc. — in relation to the amount of calories in that food. The higher the score, the more nutrient dense the food.

Okay, I guess it’s not complicated at all. It’s pretty simple.

Ignoring calories entirely, there’s only a certain amount of food you can actually eat every day. To maximize your health benefits and the amount of nutrients you get, it makes sense to eat foods that are nutrient-dense.

So what are some nutrient dense foods? 🥕🥝🍑🍳🥔🍎🥚🍊🍤🥦

However, not all these foods are easy to eat on the go. In fact, a lot aren’t. I mean, you could eat some eggs on the El, but you probably shouldn’t.

Enter Journey Bites, the first microfood offered by Journey Foods (thats us!!) that gives you flavor AND nutrient-density. We didn’t want to just make another snack product that would drain your wallet without actually doing anything beneficial. Micronutrients fuel the body and help make sure its various systems — detoxification, immunity, cellular repair — all keep running smoothly.

That’s why we created Bites that are higher in these micronutrients in a convenient format, so you can consume more nutrients BETTER.

And we don’t just care about nutrient density, we care about capsaicin density too. It’s more than a feeling, it’s a flavor. Capsaicin is the active ingredient in chili peppers that makes them hot. Our cayenne comes from Hatch Valley in New Mexico and they are PACKED with these capsaicinoids. These peppers rival jalapenos on the Scoville scale — and sometimes are even hotter.

More nutrients, more flavor. Journey Bites are an easy choice.
